Very Happy to Offer

2008 Chateau Giscours Margaux
$720 case ($60 bottle)

91 Points Wine Advocate
"Tasted ex-chateau and single blind in Southwold. This is another Margaux 2008 that really stuck its head above others and surpasses my previous expectations. It has another very floral bouquet with violets and rose petals: good fruit intensity and judicious use of oak. The palate is medium-bodied with very good backbone, fine definition with a crisp, symmetrical finish that shows great persistency. Tasted January 2012.”

2007 Domaine de Chevalier
$864 case ($72 bottle)

91 Points Robert Parker "One of the vintage's top successes, this blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot exhibits a juicy, black currant, forest floor, and soil-scented nose. Layered with brilliant precision, purity, and density, it is a medium to full-bodied, elegant, intensely flavored, soft, upfront blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It should drink well for 10-15 years.”

2007 Leoville Poyferre
$912 case ($76 bottle)

91 Points Wine Advocate
"Tasted at the UGC in London. The nose has certainly calmed down after its precocious showing out of barrel. Blackberry, wild hedgerow, blueberry with a hint of black olive and scorched earth. Very good definition. The palate is very ripe on the entry with sinewy tannins, very good weight and concentration with blackberry, damson and blueberry. Focused and assertive towards the glycerin-rich finish and yet the delineation is there. Excellent. Drink 2012-2020. Tasted November 2009.”

2008 Branaire Ducru
$900 case ($75 bottle)

91 Points Robert Parker "A stunning success for the vintage, this enticing St.-Julien reveals notes of lead pencil shavings, sweet raspberries and black currants and a subtle touch of oak. Elegant, restrained yet authoritative and impressively intense, it is a medium to full-bodied, lightly tannic effort will be even better with 1-2 years of bottle age and will keep for 15-20 years."

2011 Chateau Talbot
$720 case ($60 bottle)

90 Points Robert Parker "Talbot’s dense ruby/purple color is followed by an attractive, spicy, earthy St.-Julien displaying hints of tapenade, black cherries and soil undertones in a forward, lush, round, seductive style. This excellent, medium-bodied 2011 should provide delicious drinking for 10-15 years. Talbot appears to have succeeded admirably in this vintage.”

2008 Grand Puy Lacoste
$792 case ($66 bottle)

92 Points Wine Advocate "Tasted from a bottle opened at the chateau, the 2008 has a lovely, lifted bouquet of blackberry, blood orange, crushed stone, cedar and tar. The palate is medium-bodied is very supple on the entry with crisp acidity. Smooth and harmonious, the oak needing time to subsume into the fabric of the wine. The finish is fresh, vibrant, nicely poised with good grip and a fine, supple raspberry and briary.”
