From the same vineyards used to make Brunello Riserva in previous vintages, Gianfranco's estate 100% Sangiovese is used in vinification, which is completely natural and carried out in traditional Slavonian oak vats. In the wine cellar, which is a temple 8 meter below ground rounded and paved by tons of stones, the Sangiovese ferments in wooden vats with no temperature control and no selected yeasts and ages in large Slavonian casks for up to six years; time and passion is the only intervention. The wines are the perfect interpretation of Gianfranco's definition of elegance, balance, and tradition. They are warm, open, and fantastically lively with opulent aromatic flavors and great complexity. His wines beautifully express the best of Sangiovese.
