| | New releases from Globetrotter and Pioneer Winemaker Mitchell Sokolin ~ two organic wines from the remote Sierra de Salamanca region in Castilla y Leon, Spain.
Both are made entirely from the lively local red, Rufete: “La Espaldera” is planted on decomposed granite and quartz, while “El Pueblo Mas Feo” comes from a vineyard on slate.
The 2018 vintage was “a gift” — big juicy bunches with very fresh flavors. Bright cherry fruit and vibrant floral notes. Perfumed and mineral, the winemaker was quite pleased with himself! |
