Jefferson’s Ocean Aged-At-Sea Bourbon Voyage 11 $110 bottleThe Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea is sourced from 62 barrels of bourbon aged 6-8 years that were put on a container ship for 6 months, where they rocked and sloshed across the oceans stopping at ports of 5 different continents and making their way across the equator four times. The theory is that this constant movement of the liquid in the barrels ages the whiskey faster because more of the liquid is in contact with the wood more often. The result - seriously tasty bourbon that is very rich and deep in character. It's really quite unique and worth trying. Plus, a percentage of sale of each bottle is going towards Ocean research.
