Mitchell Sokolin and Boris Portnoy bought a vineyard in Manavi Kakheti last year in Georgia. This is the wonderful result. I met Boris in the Oakland at The Punchdown in 2011, he was a Georgia nut then, with a 50 CC motorbike that had a trailer that housed a tandoor oven from which he could make Khachakuri. He now lives down under and started All Welcome Bakery. Mitch is originally from New York.
