THE ORPHAN BARREL
 KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY COLLECTION

The Orphan Barrel Whiskey Company was started to share barrels of rare and delicious whiskey, nearly forgotten in the back of rickhouses, whose stories have become the stuff of legend. Every Orphan Barrel is hand bottled in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to ensure that these rare whiskeys are treated with the care they deserve – because some of them will only be available once. And once they're gone, they're gone forever.

Barterhouse 20-Year-Old
Kentucky Bourbon

For a 20-year-old bourbon, Barterhouse is one smooth operator. This easygoing whiskey features delicious notes of warm biscuits and buttercream, with spice and brown sugar on the finish.

Forged Oak 15-Year-Old
Kentucky Bourbon

At 20 years matured, each sip of Rhetoric starts with a smoky, leathery nose that translates into vanilla oak, toasted rye, and dried fruits, and concludes with a long, full finish of cherry blossom and bitter chocolate. An ever-changing specimen, Rhetoric is an experiment in how barrel maturation imparts a lasting impression year after year, with each new year bringing an older and wiser limited release from remaining maturing stock.

The Gifted Horse
American Whiskey

Some time ago at the historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville, Ky., a batch of beautiful 17-year-old Kentucky bourbon was accidentally mixed with barrels of much younger four-year-old bourbon and four-year-old corn whiskey, both produced at a high-quality distillery in Indiana. Initially, these individual whiskeys were stored at their original distilleries before being moved to Stitzel-Weller, where the error occurred. This error turned out better than anyone could have expected as the older bourbon wasn't marred, but was transformed into something special. On the Palate barrel char influence hits up front, followed by fruit — apples, plus some cherry notes, with toffee and a bit of chocolate mint character. Some heat and caramel notes on the finish.
