Subject: Insider Bordeaux Deal!

Thanks to our Bordeaux friends, we had a wonderful surprise visit today with the remarkable Bertrand Bourdil, the winemaker for Chateau Mouton Rothschild for 20 years (including the 1982, 1986 and 1988 vintages—all 100-Point Wines!).
Bertrand also helped create Opus One.
We tasted his new, under-the-radar project, Chateau Cherubin, a Saint-Emilion jewel right next door to Chateau L’Angelus. It is a “living” vineyard that is rich in iron, creating a deep, dark and elegant wine with a strong minerality and smooth tannins. Bertrand is very focused on his organic production that he hand-harvests and manually de-stems on an unusual slotted wood sorting table that prevents any immature grapes from being incorporated. The production is tiny, just 600 cases.

VERY HAPPY TO OFFER
2007 Chateau Cherubin Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
$390 6pack
Magnums $145 each

The 2007 vintage is the one to buy, it is drinking just lovely now. We advise all Bordeaux lovers to get in on this well-kept secret while the price is right.
