| Most Italian Wine Lovers and Critics agree, Chionetti is the reference point producer for Dolcetto, and that Dogliani is the ideal terroir for Dolcetto grapes. Quinto Chionetti handed the reins of this family winery over to his grandson Nicola in 2013 and while we mourn the recent death of this old master, we are so happy this very important estate is in such good hands and will be making a Barolo in 2015! More on that later!

| 2015 Chionetti Dolcetto Dogliani San Luigi
$180 6pack
92 Points Anthony Galloni
“The 2015 Dogliani San Luigi packs a serious punch, with a huge core of dark red cherry and plum fruit, matched by intense tannins that need time to soften. Raspberry jam, smoke, leather, cedar and incense meld into the creamy, expressive finish. This is impressive stuff.” |
| 2015 Chionetti Dolcetto Dogliani Briccolero
$180 6pack
93 Points Anthony Galloni
“The 2015 Dogliani Briccolero is superb and also one of the wines of the vintage. Rich, ample and generous on the palate, the 2015 exudes richness from start to finish. A host of super-ripe blue fruits, crème de cassis, lavender, menthol and dark spices are infused in this unctuous, deep Dogliani. All the elements meld together effortlessly. The 2015 can be enjoyed now, but it also has the depth and pedigree to age for a number of years.” |
