Subject: 🔹🔷Gigondas from the monumental soon to be legendary 2015 vintage!🔷🔹

One of my favorite estates in Gigondas…The style here is staunchly traditional, and their wines always show the gamier, wild side of Gigondas. — Jeb Dunnuck
Viticulture in Gigondas dates back to Antiquity. The very name of the town its thought to be derived from the Latin Jocundus meaning “joyful.” The domain has existed since 1840. The Faraud family have been there for 4 generations. Today three daughters of Michel Faraud run the domain: Delphine, Sandrine and Rosaline. Everything is very traditional at the domain.

92-94 Josh Raynolds, Vinous “Dark ruby. Potent mineral- and smoke-accented cherry, boysenberry and garrigue scents pick up a sexy incense nuance as the wine opens up. Sweet, seamless and penetrating on the palate, offering intense red and blue fruit, spicecake and lavender pastille flavors and a hint of smoked meat. Concentrated yet light on its feet, playing power off finesse with a smooth hand and finishing impressively long, sweet and youthfully tannic. I'd happily lose this wine in the cellar for a while.”
