Blends of Rufete, Tempranillo, and Calabres

Like a string trio, each grape holds its own while letting the other two sing

Bodega Cámbrico is situated at 2600-2950 feet in the Natural Park Sierra de Francia, a breathtaking mountainous region, where the conditions are ideal to obtain grapes of extraordinary quality. The vineyards are granitic terraces that were formed during the Cambrian Age (about 500 million years ago)

Old Vines, Low Yields

The wines produced at Cámbrico are all made from 40 to 100 year-old-vines. No herbicides, insecticides or chemical fertilizers are used. The vineyards are ploughed by horse and the grapes are harvested completely by hand.

Indigenous Varietals

Rufete is a rare, unique varietal which is a cousin to Pinot Noir. Many centuries ago, Burgundian settlers transported the Noirene grape to Sierra de Francia. It adapted to the mountains, high above the city of Salamanca, and became Rufete. The variety of Tempranillo corresponds to a clone that has adapted to this region throughout the centuries.
