Subject: Bordeaux Legend Creates Magic in Spain

Bruno Prats, the genius behind Cos d'Estournel for 30 years, has an exciting new project in Spain. Long convinced of the potential of Monastrell, Prats joined forces with esteemed winemaker Stephane Point to realize his dream of making wine in his beloved Alicante region on the Mediterranean coast. The result is an elegant expression of this terroir that can't help but have the classic influence of a Bordeaux master.
Back by Popular Demand and at this price it is a no-brainer!

“The 2010 Mosyca is a blend of 40% Monastrell, 20% Syrah, 20% Cabernet and 20% Petit Verdot aged for 12 months in oak barrels (20% of which are new), a Mediterranean blend lifted by the Bordeaux grapes, with fine tannins, a little spiky maybe, good persistence, ripe fruit, balanced, wood well-integrated, and a long, persistent finish. Spicy, round and serious. A cerebral, solid blend. Drink 2014-2018.”
Also we have a little left of his flagship 100% Monastrell Alfynal!

"The 2010 Alfynal is pure Monastrell from very old vineyards, different plots ranging from 35 to 70 years of age located between 500 and 700 meters above sea level with very low yields. It has a beautiful nose of smoke, blackberries, star anise and well-integrated, fine-grained tannins, very supple. It has the balance and harmony of great wines. It improves with time in the glass; it has very good acidity, while the fruit is properly ripe. This is a very serious effort, elegant and rustic at the same time, which is a textbook example of great Monastrell. 9,700 bottles produced. Drink 2014-2022."
