Growers have not experienced this combination of ripeness and freshness before — with such a hot and dry season, achieving that balance is quite remarkable. The clarity of fruit, exuberant florality, concentration and freshness combined makes 2019 a very happy vintage!

Family owned estate for five generations, the winemaker here is Laurence Danel who gained her experience at Bouchard and Faiveley.

She makes wines that allow the terroir to be expressed and never lack fruit. Organic farming since 1994, the wines are pure with judicious use of new oak and express the unique qualities of the terroir.

’Abbaye de Morgeot‘ is the heart and origin of the Morgeot Premier cru, center slope with lots of calcaire. The wine has a rich nose of candied yellow fruits and flowers. The palate is very powerful with a continuation of sweet peach and yellow plum fruit, great weight and braced with minerality through the finish.
