Subject: 2010 Mini Barolo just $24 bottle!

Well the Oval Office did not want us so we are back to tasting wines all day — tough job but someone has to do it!

We don’t see too many Italian offerings these days from the stellar 2010 vintage, especially this delicious and at such a great price.

The Lagrein impressed us with its purity of fruit and terroir (and yes the cute label). 
Perfect with cured meats and Pasta Carbonara!

On the nose aromas of tobacco, liquorice and raspberry. Elegant mouth feel and long-lived finish. Very impressive!

Family owned estate since 1872 and surrounded by the original stone wall of the property dating back to the 16th century.
Cherry and floral on the nose, with a lively acidity. Well balanced earthy, mineral flavors. Lip smacking good!
