Winemakers Jack Roberts (Matthiasson Wines Assistant Winemaker) and Johanna Jensen (formerly with Scholium Project and Broc Cellars) have come together to create wines influenced by the old world great age-ability. In the vigneron tradition, they do much of the work themselves from vineyard to bottling, and their wines have quickly become a reference for quality amongst the new crop of talented American winemakers.
The image on the bottle is of Beverstone Castle, an 11th century Norman stronghold in Gloucestershire, England where Jack’s father was born and raised. All that remains of Beverstone today is what you see on our label -the moat and the tall ‘keep’, (from the middle english kype, or barrel) which was the defenders' last resort in a siege.

| | | | Keep, Picpoul / Grenache Blanc 2016
"From the Windmill Vineyard in Yolo County, east of Napa. A light bodied crisp white with a nose of Japanese pear, green apple and of soft honeysuckle undertones. The Picpoul was picked early, and small amount of Grenache Blanc to fill out the mid pallet and slightly raise the PH, giving the wine more persistency and texture."

Keep, Counoise 'David Girard Vineyard' 2017
“From the David Girard Vineyard in the Sierra Foothills, farmed organically, will be certified this year. Made in the traditional carbonic method, 18 days of enzymatic fermentation and then a light foot tread to finish fermentation. This wine has no added S02 and was aged in neutral oak for 6 months before bottling. This is a delicate fruit forward wine, to be served chilled or cellar temperature. Native yeast fermentation, unfined/ unfiltered.”

| | Keep, Pinot Meunier 'Yount Mill Vineyard' 2017
From the famed Yount Mill Vineyard in Napa (right behind the French Laundry), certified organic. This fruit is usually picked for sparkling but we decided to make a red wine from it. This is a perfumed and delicate fruit forward wine with lovely balance. 20% whole cluster, native yeast fermentation, unfined/ unfiltered.
