Subject: D2000 Safety | January Newsletter

Last year D2000 Safety, like many businesses, entered a state of suspended animation. With limited overhead, we were able to keep most of our team intact and were able to provide some remote support to our clients who were also trying to navigate the new normal.

Now we are entering the new year with similar challenges as last, but a greater degree of hope. We are confident that our nation will confront and overcome the massive challenges we face, but this will not be a quick and easy process.

As far as providing training, we have been able to deliver some of our programs remotely. We have also conducted some in-person classes at our clients' locations. In these cases, we have found that CDC guidelines and our clients' procedures (specifically distancing, ventilation, and masking as appropriate) have been shown to be adequate to protect our students and instructors.

Open enrollment classes (like those listed below) pose bigger challenges given the uncertainty of travel and local restrictions on meeting sizes. As a result, we do not anticipate holding open enrollment classes until the weather warms and vaccination rates rise. Our guess is that we will be able to resume a limited schedule of open enrollment classes sometime in May or June.

On a positive note, if your rescue team could use some refresher training, we have recently published a series of Rescue Refresher Modules that most team leaders should be able to administer. More details can be found below.

We wish everyone a healthful New Year and we thank you for your continued trust in D2000 Safety.

Announcing New Program:
Rescue Refresher Modules
D2000 Rescue has developed a series "Rescue Refresher Modules" which consists of six modules focusing on various aspects of team operations. The series is designed to support the refresher training needs of technical rescue teams. Since the modules cover basic information, anyone who serves as a rescue team leader should be able to deliver these modules.
