Shout Outs
- High Five to Liz Dean, Nelson Aquino, Marc Steinberg, Diane Gomez and Lisa de Lima for participating in the 1st ever Personalized Treadmill Workout. I believe all participants ran faster than they ever have on a treadmill, got to experience the latest equipment on the market, got a high energy workout that jump started their day and got a workout that made their whole body feel good and got a program they could do on their own for both cardio minutes, performance and body health.
- P3, Week 3 Attendance (pre-make ups): High Five to Alicia Straus, Marisa Cimino, Lisa de Lima, Peter Kelly, Julie Levin, Madeline McNeely, Michaela Millot, Julie Tishler, William Weinreb, Ricardo Abech, Ozge Getkin, Mimy Wang, Diane Gomez (+1), and Eric Getkin for perfect attendance this week. You didn't miss any workouts and there were great challenges this week. High Five for finding a way!
- P3, Week 2 Cardio Minutes: High Five to Marisa Cimino (345), Lisa de Lima (31), Dana Dornbusch (272), Walter Piescik (180), Peter Kelly (231), Melissa Mullen (417), Michaela Millot (270), Stephanie Bucci (286), William Savage (280), William Weinreb (180) and Emily Pardo (286). You had a strong week of steps, heart work and self-care. Well done. Keep going and see if you can do it again this week.
- P3, Week 3 Kick Ass Weigh Ins!: Walter Piescik, Madeline McNeely, Marc Steinberg, Ozge Getkin, Karna Krishna, Diane Gomez and Amita Vasi beat their last KAWI on record. High Five for showing up, kicking a** and beating last time.
Make Ups & Empowerment Week
6:30pm, Mon, Mar 19 @ MC (snow) 6:00am, Wed, Mar 21 @ BG (pending)
9:00am, Fri, Mar 23 @ MC (vertigo)
This week is empowerment week. The snow, poor communication on my part (pending vs. if you don't hear from me) and following through on an earlier commitment ("You need to come home" email), mean there are 3 make ups this week.
Snow Last Tuesday we canceled because of snow, so that'll be made up Monday.
Pending vs. if you don't hear from me I want you to always have great feelings about CYBBC. I did business with Perform Better this weekend (new bands for X-Pulls) and I love those guys. They make everything so easy. I want you to love everything about CYBBC and I want to make things easier for you and so I'd like to make up for the Wednesday poor communication. *Next time, if you don't hear from me, assume class is on like always.*
You need to come home That day I sent you the email with this subject line, when Vanessa had Vertigo symptoms, I felt bad to surprise you last minute with Marisa as a coach. She was underprepared to teach it having found out only an hour before and with a conversation on the phone for how to teach the workout with no formal training on a new program. Everything worked out fine with the class. Marisa did great. Everybody was super understanding and flexible and Vanessa is doing much better, but I wanted to make sure you got a great experience, so I'm making that up like I said I would.
Make Up Schedule If you plan early, well enough and want to find a way to make it happen, you're invited to 3 workouts this week. If you have equipment at Mackenzie, you'll need to get it Monday night if you want to train Wed morning at the Boys & Girls Club.
Empowerment Week Videos. I don't have new videos for you. Life happened. Snow happened. Poor planning. Each day I planned to shoot videos something happened.
Here are the videos from last phase and attached is our current workout card for your convenience.
You know what to do. You have the equipment. You have the cards. You'll remember when you read the workout cards or simply grab your gear and follow along. You can do it. Take the workouts off the pedestal and just start with rolling. Your body and you will remember.
See you tomorrow,
Coach Mike
