Hi Friend!
One of Vivi's teachers is going to Japan for 2 weeks with her fiancee and I thought of my sister, Emily, who's there teaching English. One of my favorite things my sister ever said, was when I asked her how she gets straight A's all the time, (elementary, middle, high school, college and grad school), she said, "I show up to class and do my homework".
It's so simple, yet profound. Show up and do your homework!
Shout Outs! - High five to Dana Dornbusch (+1), Christine Murphy (+3), Joshua Gann (+1), Peter Kelly, Madeline McNeely (+2), Lisa Listerman (+1), Anne Marie Dunne, Paula Pollis (+2), Karna Krishna (+2), Julie Tishler (+1), Marc Steinberg (+2), Elizabeth Dean, Diane Gomez (+3), Susan McHale, Amita Vasi, Paul Gomez and Jennifer Mendelsohn. You showed up and did the work even though sometimes you weren't in your best states (fully rested, nourished, in a good place body wise and/or head space wise). You found a way. Keep going. Now do it again Monday!
Now it's time to do our home work. It could be playing hard to put back some joy into your week. Resting hard to recover from your week. Living your life and doing the things you've chosen to schedule. Whatever it is, keep practicing your daily habits. Prioritize your sleep. Keep your meal schedule no matter where you are. Move because it's fun, makes you feel good and helps you be your best and practice your nutrition habit, because it's so simple!
Burn & Earn!
