Hi Friend!
Great morning to you!
I hope your week is starting off great and you're excited for one of the best holidays there is. You might recall that I'm from a really large family (17 uncles & aunts, 37 cousins), so I grew up with lots of people, lots of food, lots of culture (my dad was born in Portugal and my Meme in Japan, so there's a whole lotta My Big Fat Greek Wedding), and lots of noise and I love it all. So many memories that I hope to remember, share and continue to make with my extended family, my new little family, my friends and you because I don't want to live 2 lives. One life is hard enough.
There was a period of time, when I lived 2 lives, the old, work hard play hard, and separating work from personal life, but there's a cost (hint: rest), and with the exception of keeping private things private, and using boundaries where appropriate, I think its good to meld the two, to remain your true self. That's why you see me put myself out there so much. Thats why I like family boot camps, group workout meet ups, the Spartan Race we did and the Thanksgiving workout so much. It's fun to share and do something you enjoy with people who enjoy it and if you do it often enough, it's hard not to build deep relationships and get to know one another better.
So tomorrow is the Thanksgiving Workout. It'll be 2 hours and a mix of strength & conditioning. I'll break out some of my other toys, like the hurdles & ladders, and I'll write it so everyone has a great experience and a safe, fun & effective workout. Three cousins are supposed to come, but you never know because Wednesday still is the biggest party night of the year to them, so...In any event, please invite your people to join us if they can do what we do. When I travel and visit people, I don't want them to break their routines because of me and I definitely want to get my workouts in, so if an open invite helps you, please bring your peeps.
