I know today is a big night for many people and if you're like me you like to get a jump start on things ahead AND you like to peak for BIG night outs with a Burn & Earn workout before.

 

FREE TRX / Renewal Workout

2011 is going to be a very exciting year for us all and for Change Your Body Boot Camps it will be see the introduction of using a tool called the TRX into future programming.  If you've never heard of a TRX check out this video:  CLICK HERE.  Today, Friday, December 31 @ 3pm, I'll be hosting a FREE TRX / Renewal Conditioning Workout at the Mackenzie Center.  RSVP to mike@mikealves.com and bring your exercise mat, hand towel and water bottle. The renewal part means, I'll be raising my rates in 2011, so if you renew your membership agreements now, you can keep the rate you paid in 2010 for the length of membership agreement you sign.  Deadline to Register / Renew for you or a friend of yours is Sunday, January 2, 2011 @ 5pm.  Registration for new people without a referral is closed.

 

Bring A Buddy Month

 

Since January is Fitness Resolution Month and many people are looking to get in better shape and feel better after excessive holiday indulgences, lack of exercise and a desire for a fresh start, I thought we should piggy back on this motivation and help you to build up your support circle.  You can invite unlimited friends to join you for January as long as they're a good fit for us.  They get the month for FREE, you get a new workout buddy, you get a $60 referral credit if they join, you get a chance to Win an IPAD, we get some new rookies for class and we both get the chance to help change more lives.  To learn more about the Bring A Buddy Month / Win an Ipad, CLICK HERE.  See you Monday, January 3rd for 1st classes and if you want to be measured, I'll see you Sunday @ 8am @ the Mackenzie.

 

2011 Training Schedule

 

We've got a new schedule for 2011.  It's still 38 weeks of training, but for the entire year the phases will be 3 weeks on, 1 week off.  This is great for many reason: 

 

(1)  the phases match up better with monthly billing so it "makes more sense". 

(2)  When schools are off, for the most part, we're off. 

(3)  Most likely no more in class challenges.  Challenge week will now be during Recovery Week.  Since you'll have had 3 weeks to learn the routines, you can now opt to do 1-3 individual challenges on your own, meet up with your peers and sometimes, I'll do a bonus week. 

(4)  There most likely will be no more in class Testing Days.  Testing Days will now be once per quarter, at the end.  Probably on a Saturday and hopefully following Post Phase measurements.  It also will be a pay to test class.

(5)  I'm very optimistic and excited about this new schedule for the above reasons, but more so because you should get even better AND FASTER RESULTS with this schedule.  Why?  Because you'll have less excuses and less breaks with your momentum because even during the recovery weeks, you'll know what to do.  I won't have to write you a brand new routine and hope that you understand how to do it.  You'll know the routine, I'll say do this # of reps, rounds or time, you'll complete it, and submit your results online.  It'll be pretty awesome for you.  I'm a coach.  I know these things.  :)

2010 Holiday Thank You Card

 

I've got a great reputation for sending cards (at least among family, friends, mothers & fathers), but I've been less than my best the last 2 years thanking you.  Here's a picture I would have included had I written to you.  Vanessa (Goose) and Mike (Maverick) from Halloween 2010.  It's of my girlfriend Vanessa, who was Goose, and me, who was Maverick, (characters from the 80's Movie Top Gun with Tom Cruise) for Halloween, 2010.  We've taken the next step and she's moved in with me.  It's very exciting to be living with her and building new routines together.  :)

I'd like to thank you for choosing Change Your Body Boot Camps as your fitness resource.  You goals, your time, your friendship, your efforts and your business I value highly and am grateful for.  The best part of my day is not Folgers coffee, but when I get to train you.  It's crazy, but it's true. I started my business from scratch in late 2008 during the beginning of the bad recession.  My SUPER LOYAL personal training clients followed me and helped by training in different settings while I got started.  I'm still wet behind the ears and slowly growing, but your confidence in me has allowed me to continue changing lives and live my dreams.  2011 will be even better for you and for us.  Our program works, we have momentum and you now have a training age, which means you possess the ability to train at a higher level, which allows you to yield faster results.  YES!  It's good to be you.  So thank you once again for your sharing your life with me.
