Hi Friend!
If you've been with us this week and not away for travel, I hope you're enjoying the 4th week of a 4 week phase. We have 5 more phases consisting of 4 weeks.
Tomorrow, as mentioned in an earlier email, I'll be leaving during the 9am class to catch a train to NY with Vanessa to see Hamilton. Marisa will finish the class and help pack up. Monday, 3/25, is the start of Phase 4 and a new Quarter (summer sports and beach ready). This means it'll be both a teaching week and an unloading week, so if you're feeling unexplainably tired this week and wondering if you're sick because of said tired and body aches it's presumably from both a Central Nervous System (CNS) standpoint due to the increased volume with MB and Hurdles and the muscular fatigue is from the increased volume, aka the 4 rounds of strength training and 4 minutes of conditioning.
Do whatever you'd normally do to help yourself feel better: - sleep
- water
- rest
- stretch / yoga
- walk, elliptical, run, move, play, cycle, swim
- eat good food: leans, greens, beans (carb dense foods) and healthy fats
- hydro therapy (hot and cold)
- massage
- train light and fast at boot camp to recharge your CNS vs. heavy and slow
and remember that next week is an unloading week.
Also know that for some people who've already adapted, they'll feel amazing right away, while others, will feel like they're body is holding. Either way, when you unload next week with the teaching week, the results of your efforts that last 2 weeks will begin to show, kind of like tapering before a race.
