Subject: Intuitive Eaters!

Hi Friend!

That's my little firefighter, Vivian.  Hindsight is 20/20, but I should have been Fire Marshall Bill.  Remember him?

Anyways, we had a blast.  I was ready to canvas all of Savin Hill, running house to house to get candy with her, but those little legs got tired after 1.5 streets and her little hands got tired of carrying her full, purple pumpkin, so that was it.

We came inside.  She laid out her loot.  Vanessa put a yummy dinner out.  We both pushed the plates away and we began trying and eating all the different candies.

Vivi is very much in the, "try small samples of every candy because she has no experience with most of them", stage, so she opens everything.  Take a taste and then moves on.  Her favorites stay close to her.  Her non-favorites, she gives to us.

After a while of eating all my favorites, I grabbed my dinner and ate it.
Then after Vivi had sufficiently sampled as many candies as she needed to, she grab her plate and started eating her dinner.
Each time we both grabbed our dinner plate, Vanessa smiled.
And after Vivi had finisher her dinner, she said,

"That's Intuitive Eating at its best!"

What is intuitive eating?
Google tells me, "An intuitive eater is defined as a person who “makes food choices without experiencing guilt or an ethical dilemma, honors hunger, respects fullness and enjoys the pleasure of eating.”

So yeah.  I guess that's both of us and kudos to Vanessa for creating an environment where you can have a pile of candy on the table, eat as much as you like, yet subconsciously leave room for the yummy dinner that also happens to be at the table, because both were served at the same time.

Pretty smart.

I hope you enjoyed the Halloween Candy newsletter.  Read or re-read it if you haven't as it shares super tips that can give you super powers with your nutrition that when practiced can help you get what you want and not be crazy around food.

In the meantime we've got less than a month before holiday season kicks off and 2 months until winter sports season starts.  When you're ready, below are 3 ways I can help you make a health, body transformation and/or performance change.

Your coach,

Mike Alves

1.  Group Personal Training:  want a coach who cares, awesome people to train with, a results-oriented program to follow and a high energy place to get filled up, then this is for you.  Reply with "CYBBC" in the subject when you're ready to be a guest and/or try us out.

2.  Private Training.  Some people prefer the convenience and privacy of 1-on-1 training.  They thrive with the individualized attention and the personalized programming and know recurring appointments is the way to guarantee their success.  I have afternoon availability on M / W / F for 1 person and occasional openings at 7:45a, when my other private client is away.  If you're interested and when you're ready, reply with "Private Training" in the subject line and let me know.

3.  Program Design.  Some people like having access to a coach, yet want to train most of the time on their own.  Sometimes they have something specific to work on like a body part, a posture / injury problem or a performance goal, or maybe there's an important event coming up like a reunion, beach vacation, adventure trip or sporting event that they want to get ready for.

Other times they just want a customized program built around where they are currently, how they move and where they want to go.  The frequency of this could be 1 off, every 3 weeks, 4, 6, 8 or 12 weeks, semi-annually or annually.

Many people get annual physicals, twice annually teeth cleaning and oil changes every 3000 miles.  How often do you update your personal workout routines?  When you're ready to get a custom program, reply with "Program Design" in the subject line to let me know.
