Subject: Hot for the holidays. Stay focused. Track your stats. Tailor your workouts. Re-inspire your meal plans.

Great afternoon Friend!

We're rapidly approaching many peoples favorite holiday stretch of the year.  There are always going to be not so great things about the different holidays and some down right sucky things, but there also, always going to be great and awesome things about the holidays, and one of the best parts is how you choose to see things.

If you're looking glass only sees dirt, grime and the negatives, then that's how you'll see the holidays.

If you're looking glass is bright, rosy and filled with positives, then that's also how you'll see things.

Hot for the Holidays
The easiest way to make the world you see better is to work on the lens in which you look from and the way you do that is by addressing how you feel, aka your self-care.  If you feel great, most everything, no matter how bad it is, can and possibly will be tinged hopeful.  And if you feel great, look great and are performing great in life, that's a sure fire way to make sure what you see and experience during your holidays is great.

Stay Focused
Keep going.  Make sure your training is SCHEDULED on your calendar as untouchable appointments with the most VIP person there is.  YOU!  If for some Haley's Comet reason, you need to reschedule or shhh, miss a workout, make it up ASAP.  Get up early or stay up late, or sacrifice some email time, and plan your week and days, to make sure self-care is scheduled.

Schedule A Photo Shoot
Send a holiday photo card because its fun, but make sure you're in it, not just your kids or pets or beautiful scenes.  You don't have to hire a professional.  You can ask and schedule a friend or use a timer or selfie stick.

Do schedule the day in advance so you can peak for it, because its fun.  Get your holiday outfit or something fun to wear and do it.  Its fun to do and its fun to give.  Don't you always smile when you open up holiday photo cards from people?  This will help you stay focused.

Track your stats
You've gotta try on your holiday clothes.  Take those fall & winter clothes out of the closet or go clothes trying on at the mall (while you still can; RiP Sears), and see where you're at.

Don't put your head in the sand.  Track your numbers.  Get measured.  How do you know where you are if you don't track.  Annual physicals are too infrequent because they're annual.  That's too long to wait to make a change.

Tailor your workouts
Sometimes kids have to do extra credit, get tutors, get 1-on-1 coaching and sometimes we do too.  If you've ever had the joy of wearing tailored clothes, you know how cool that experience is and how cool and good you look in clothes fit to you.  If there are things that are bothering you, that are important to you, that you want to learn or that you need to or want to work on, then stop thinking about it and start doing something about it.  Get measured and screened.  Get a custom program and get going.

Re-inspire your meal plans
And if you're not feeling great and you know it stems from what your eating and/or what you're not eating, then come get re-inspired about your meal plans.  You know it works.  Every time in life when you feel like you're off course, isn't there always something that snaps you back on track?  Let your choice to commit, show up, participate and follow through snap you back on track towards the way you want to live, eat, be and feel this holiday season and going forward.

Taking action,

Coach Mike
