Subject: Free Play!

Hi Friend!

Happy Friday to you!

Yesterday, Vivi and I drove to school so we could grocery shop afterwards.  This was a real difficult battle for me because I really like all the cardio minutes we get from commuting to school.

So, I made lemonade.

Free Play
We got to school, 15minutes early and played at the playground.  We pretended we were firefighters and were getting calls to put out fires and save kitty's.  We climbed, and crawled and ran and slid.  All the fun stuff you'd imagine.  Then we saw a hungry lion and the hungry lion saw us, and we looked good.

Eeek.  We ran and hid.  But he smelled us.  We crawled, climbed and hid again.  But he found us again.  Then we sprinted as fast as we could to the other side.  And then he found us.  Then one of Vivi's classmates and mom showed up and we all hid, well maybe not the mom.  And then it was time to go, so we ran to the Oak tree.  Walked to school.  Saw all the other kids and parents.

And then, Vivi realized she left her mochilla (backpack) at the playground.  So we ran all the way there and all the way back.

Wooo.

By the time I got back to my car, it was 25 minutes of interval training.
Crawl.
Climb.
Walk.
Run.
Lunge.
Squat.
Duck.
Sprint.
Laugh.
Play.
Breathe hard.

It was perfect.

It's not as much cardio as I would have liked, so I'll have to make up the step count with the shopping (no cardio minutes there), but it was fun, I moved and I got primed for a good day.

There's nothing like a Friday workout to set up your day and weekend.

Good luck with yours.

Coach Mike

p.s.  when you're ready, here are 3 ways I can help you get primed for your days and peak for events, special to you!

1.  Group Personal Training:  want a coach who cares, awesome people to train with, a results-oriented program to follow and a high energy place to get filled up, then this is for you.  Reply with "CYBBC" in the subject when you're ready to be a guest and/or try us out.

2.  Private Training.  Some people prefer the convenience and privacy of 1-on-1 training.  They thrive with the individualized attention and the personalized programming and know recurring appointments is the way to guarantee their success.  I have afternoon availability on M / W / F for 1 person and occasional openings at 7:45a, when my other private client is away.  If you're interested and when you're ready, reply with "Private Training" in the subject line and let me know.

3.  Program Design.  Some people like having access to a coach, yet want to train most of the time on their own.  Sometimes they have something specific to work on like a body part, a posture / injury problem or a performance goal, or maybe there's an important event coming up like a reunion, beach vacation, adventure trip or sporting event that they want to get ready for.

Other times they just want a customized program built around where they are currently, how they move and where they want to go.  The frequency of this could be 1 off, every 3 weeks, 4, 6, 8 or 12 weeks, semi-annually or annually.

Many people get annual physicals, twice annually teeth cleaning and oil changes every 3000 miles.  How often do you update your personal workout routines?  When you're ready to get a custom program, reply with "Program Design" in the subject line to let me know.
