Happy Tuesday to you Friend,
We got snow here Sunday night into Monday morning and if there was a way to hit a button and pre-schedule when it would snow (day & time), when it would stop, how much and what kind of snow, yesterday would have been a perfect example. We got about 6" of fresh powder. It started in the evening, maybe 7pm on Sunday and was done around 7am, Monday. There was plenty of time to clean up and play. Plus it was MLK day so schools were closed already, so kids could play and snow removers could get it cleaned up early and get on with their days.
Cardio Minutes - Week 2
Thankfully for us, we're snow shovel ready and we have been since the end of the year. AND clearing snow for another household (e.g. your elderly neighbor) counts 100% towards cardio minutes. Clearing your own snow doesn't count towards, cardio minutes, but you do get great exercise, you get to count all the steps and you certainly should enjoy a hot chocolate afterwards. :-)
We did 24min / workout. Please reply now with your minutes for the week of 1/13!
P1, Week 3 - Record Week!
This is the last week of our 1st phase. It's record week. We've been doing the full workout, but with some pauses for demos and dialogue. I'll aim to start on time and finish on time. You aim to be early & ready and try to get a personal record (PR) in one of the following:
*What gets measured, gets managed (Peter Drucker). I highly recommend you print out and record on a workout card. You can track your progress and write notes to yourself. Paper & pencil feels good. It helps motivate you on both tired and strong days to do better. Give it a shot if you've gotten out of practice and/or aren't doing it currently. If you are, keep trying to fill your workout cards and show me every time you finish 6 workouts on each side. Or show me anytime you feel proud OR want feedback. You can text me a photo and we can text or talk about it.
Phase 2:
M, Jan 17 to F, Feb 14 - 3 weeks on, 1 week off
Empowerment Week: 2/15 to 2/23
Guest Weeks: 1/17 to 2/7
So basically we're training 6 weeks to jump start the year before our 1st empowerment week (February vacation) and then 8 weeks after that before another empowerment week (April Vacation).
That's all for today. Oh wait. Marisa got 80 body weight, supine bent knee bridges on a foam roller in 60seconds. Yes she's human. Yes she's awesome.
Mike
p.s. what'd you get for cardio minutes last week? Please reply now with your minutes!
