Subject: Are Pike Push Ups Water Torture?

Hi Friend,

Happy Phase 7, Week 2, to you!

I've got a question or you.
Are Pike Push Ups Water Torture?
It's a good question right?

I don't know why I've never noticed it before, but maybe it's because I haven't done Pike Push Ups at home in a while, and the AC in my home gym isn't too strong.

Look at that downward angle of my head.
Imagine it's hot out and you're sweating.
Where is all the sweat going to go?
If you said, mouth, nose, eyes, head and floor you'd be right.

Do you remember the feeling you get when water goes up your nose while swimming?

Imagine that very unpleasurable feeling while struggling through your last few reps.

It's not great.

But it's kind of cool.

Weird.  I know.

Cardio Minutes - Week 2
We did 18min / workout last week.  36 for 2, 54 for 3 and if you were Melissa Mullen, 108 for 6.  If you're wondering what that feels like, she said it was like a runners high with your nervous system on fire.

Melissa, you're effort and determination must have proven to yourself once again that you make things happen.   And that the body does what the mind tells it too.  Kudos to you.  Now when do we see you next?

P7, Week 2
Less teaching.  More coaching.
Less watching.  More doing.

Questions
1.  Have you replied to my urgent email?
2.  When do you think we should return?
3.  If it's September or later, would you invest in new equipment?
4.  What's your training schedule this week?
5.  What'd you do for cardio minutes last week?

Still making lemonade,

Coach Mike
