| | A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Hello CUASI family,
As the newness of the year transitions into the day-by-day excitement of making it all happen, I can assure you that great things are on the horizon!
We are living in an exciting time, and I pray that you are fully engaged each day in what God is doing. It is this sentiment that has us so looking forward to our spring convention. As we mentioned in our last issue, the theme is “Occupy ‘til I Come: With Christ We Will Do It.” We have a marquee slated with dynamic speakers — Pastor Dwain Esmond from the E. G. White Estates; Dr. Gaspar Colon, a former professor at Washington Adventist University and currently on the pastoral staff at Spencerville Church; Dr. Paul Anderson, director of NAD Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries; and Pastor Vincent Dehm of the Recreation Church in Baltimore, to name a few.
But the main event of the entire convention features the most important voice we could muster in the Columbia Union – you! The entire convention is being structured to hear the voices of the attendees and for you to participate in defining what ‘occupying’ looks like for us all.
So what part can you play? To be there, praying with us, hearing from the Lord, sharing our collective inspirations and developing a plan that will take us all forward with a present-day relevance in our day-to-day lives from that day forward.
So, let’s come together and make it happen. Preparations begin at our networking event Feb. 19 at the Silver Spring Civic Center (see details in the calendar section below), and we will continue the buildup to the convention. Registration will begin next week, so please go to the CUASI website and secure your space.
Blessings on you all and let’s stay excited and engaged, for we are living in exciting times!! Your fellow servant, |
