Hi Friend,
Last night in our "Essential Novel Planning Tips" webinar (replay is up!), Ezra and I talked about the List of 20. More than once.
One of the attendees asked, "Where do I get this List of 20? What is it?"
I laughed. "It's not something we give you."
"It's something you create," Ezra finished. "It's a brainstorming tool."
It's a simple and powerful tool.
Here's how it works.
On a piece of paper or on your computer, list from 1 to 20.
Then set the timer for 10 minutes. Now brainstorm your character’s worst fears. Keep moving your hand across the page to uncover more worse possibilities.
You may be surprised at what you discover.
Review your work and if need be, organize the fears from bad to worse.
