What is Kickstarter? A crowdfunding site for creatives.
Why did I chose to launch my novel this way? It's a great way to connect directly with your readers. It's direct sales!
I've been doing direct sales for years as a teacher and coach, but rarely as a novelist (book fairs! and the rare con), so I thought I'd try something new.
Also: a handful of other novelists have paved the way and are doing really well, even with small niche readerships, like I have.
How did I learn how to launch on Kickstarter? I'm still learning, LOL. Since this is my first one :) I took a class! Which has been nice since I have a cohort and we can learn from each other.
