Take Your Novel to the Next Level
♥️ ☕️

December 7, 2021

Hi Friend,
A few times a year I share about our Group Coaching Program for Genre Fiction Novelists. This is one of those times.

Writers are like athletes; training, coaching, more training, more coaching, and the occasional hurdle as we improve our skill and step up to the next level.

Coaches help solve the problems their clients can’t figure out on their own because coaches have years of experience and live to share it.

Ezra and I have written and edited many, many novels, each others’, and our own and as part of that journey we have jumped many hurdles. It’s the reason I (Beth) created the Group Coaching Program

You may have questions:
  • Where do I begin with editing my novel?
  • What do I do with the feedback I’ve received on my manuscript?
  • How do I handle this huge thing I’ve written?
You are not alone! We’ve been there.

One of the best lessons I've learned over the years is on mindset

Your mindset can help you find your way through the process of editing, helping you to make it your own, to face the difficult emotions editing might reveal, and to develop compassion for yourself in the process.

While mindset is not the only factor in our success as writers, it is a part, so let's consider it here. (Other factors may be: how we define success; our life experience; emotional intelligence; personality traits; environmental and social factors.)

According to Carol Dweck, there are two kinds of mindset: a Fixed Mindset or a Growth Mindset
  • People with a Fixed mindset compare themselves to a perfect future they can never attain, and therefore find that they always fall short.
  • People with a Growth Mindset know they can grow and change with focus, diligence, and hard work.
Are you curious which one you are? Take a quiz!  https://www.londonacademyofit.co.uk/blog/interactive-quiz-fixed-vs-growth-mindset (I am not affiliated in any way with this site. I recommend the quiz because it's fun and easy.)

No matter where you are today, the Author Group Coaching Program may help you build or strengthen a growth mindset and tackle those questions that have been plaguing you.

Is 2022 the year you will go from wanting to revise and polish your novel to actually doing this work, so you can be ready to live your dream of actually publishing it?

Sign up today and you’ll receive two extra special bonuses, a 1-1 coaching call with Beth to review 10-15 pages of your book and a signed copy of any one of Beth or Ezra’s print books. And more! These bonuses go away Dec. 17th, 9pm PT/12midnight ET.

"Beth & Ezra are inspiring and amazing coaches. They are able to "zoom in" on an individual writer's blocks, at the same time providing a group process that allows everyone in their classes to benefit. Beth's ability to support and gently challenge her authors is wonderful and led me -- as I'm sure it has led many others -- to uncover layers of character motivation that I had not been aware of in my novel. I highly recommend Beth & Ezra's coaching workshops!"

Have a happy and creative week! Happy Writing!
