WHY AM I DOING THIS Many writers learn in community and take action only if they have deadlines. I know I do.
So, each week of the class you'll be invited to workshop a specific aspect of your branding, and maybe more than one, and get feedback from your peers.
All live.
We also have a community of past and current students and workshop alum, Fellowship of Pen, where you can workshop your content each week.
♥
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Week 1:
You'll compile your core values and what you stand for and brainstorm what promotional marketing efforts are in alignment.
Week 2:
You'll gain clarity about your core audience, your raving finds, and collect all the ways in which what you write connects to them.
Week 3:
Now that the foundation is laid, you'll draft your author branding statement that is authentic to you and what you write and designed to entice and invite your ideal readers to you, your books, and your online presence.
Week 4:
You'll write your author bio to for your promotions, your blog/social media, your books, and any other promotional efforts you do, like live events or live readings.
You'll also practice one of the most important tools in marketing: the Call to Action, in a way that’s aligned with your values.
Week 5: You'll share about your newsletter list and brainstorm your Key Influencers.
Week 6:
You'll draft a few possible book launch campaigns.
Week 7:
You'll craft a blogging plan that plays to your brand, strengths, interests, and what works for you.
Each week you'll be invited to test your ideas, get feedback, ask questions, and dig into crafting a brand that works for you, your books, and your life.
Why you might need this training: -- You’re coming out with your first book soon and have no idea where to start with your marketing; this course will give you a foundation and help you plan where to start your book launch.
-- You’ve just been focused on writing and publishing your books and haven’t put much thought into marketing and branding; this course will be help you have a clear path to find your unique brand and how to share that with your prospective readers.
Many authors think that branding is only for big companies, but if you are a self published author or traditionally published author or hybrid offer -- any author today --, then you need to be in charge of your own branding and you can be.
With this course, you'll lay the foundation and create an action plan that makes sense for you.
Is this course a magic bullet rocketing you into bestsellerdom?
No, and there is no course that does that. Sorry. Not sorry.
It's all good old-fashioned elbow grease.
But marketing is so much easier is you know who you and what you stand for and what activities are fun -- for you.
This course isn't for people who hate marketing or begrudge it. I get it. If you've had bad experiences being sold to, you don't want to be one of those people.
But guess what, people love to buy! Don't you? I love it when I can purchase my favorite author's book or discover a new author through a friend's recommendation or via a blogger's book review.
Learning branding and marketing is just another tool in your already impressive toolkit.
Because you're a creative writer, I know you can find a way to promote your books.
WHAT THIS COURSE DOESN'T COVER I don't cover advertising, or how to design a site or do any other tech aspects. I will have referrals if you need them.
Any other questions about whether or not this workshop is right for you, just hit reply and we can chat via email or set up a call by phone.
