How has your July been? I hope you had a fruitful writing month.
The end of the month is a good time to reflect on what you did, what worked for you and what you'd like more of, and what you'd like differently for next month.
To get you started, I'll share my reflection on what I did this past month, what worked, and what I'd like to do differently for next month.
My activities this month writing and creativity-wise: What Worked I did lots of creative and new things -- the TV script, helping on a movie; and I did lots of planning and article writing in preparation for promoting our upcoming Plan Your Novel party and live course coming this fall. Details coming soon. (See my planning notes here!)
I'm so happy to be writing more and loved doing film-related things.
What I'd like to do Differently for Next Month
I'm happy with all I did in July, so I want more of the same. One new piece I'd add is to actually start editing Book 1 of my space station mystery series! My critique partners are expecting my pages in 10 days. The break has been nice, but it's time to dig in. Just last night I realized I need to rewrite the beginning and start with a "save the cat" moment to show how relatable she is. I have some ideas!
So, what was your July like? What worked and you'd like more of for next month? What would you like different? Hit reply and share with me. I'd love to know.
