Once upon a time, I decided to start a business helping writers. So I went to a business training.

During one of the workshops, the trainers asked us to declare our big dream, the one that whispers to us in the night, the one that we haven't told anyone yet.

I raised my hand and blurted, "I want to make a movie about my heroine, Henrietta The Dragon Slayer."

My face was hot, my heart beat like I'd sprinted up the metro steps.

I said it.

Now what to do about it?

Immediately, people tried to dissuade me.

Too hard and costly to put a fantasy on screen, they said.

I didn't let that stop me from starting, but I soon realized I was as square minus 200.

I had no idea how to make a movie.

That was 17 years ago.

Fast forward to today and I am finally making a short film about Henrietta The Dragon Slayer.

(And plan to make more but that's a story for another time.)
