Writers often feel all alone in their problems, as if they are the only one to intensely feel the pain of not writing.
This pain can come in many different forms. Last week I shared 6 types of writers pain (part 1) I typically see in my work as a writer’s coach and teacher.
There are many things I say to help writers experiencing one of those types of pain to resolve the pain, to start to feel better.
Since this is a long article, you can read the rest of the article here. ***
Inspiring news this week: SpaceX launched the Falcon Heavy into space with a Tesla as its payload. I've been posting images of earth from space all week here.

Deep research to help your writer's craft: Here's an inspiring TedTalk on Emotions titled "You aren't at the mercy of your emotions -- your brain creates them by Lisa Feldman Barrett."
I'm sharing it because 1) it helps us as humans (very aligned with my NLP training), and 2) it helps us as writers.
The main takeaway as I understand it: emotions are interpretations of body awareness, based on past experiences. The presenter calls them "predictions."
How this helps us as writers: When you craft a character's experience from the inside out, focus on what the body is experiencing, then share the emotional interpretation of the moment.
I teach more about this in my home study/self-paced course, "Beyond The 5 Senses."

Lastly, I want to share that I am now doing one-on-one coaching and consulting sessions for writers again. If you're curious to learn more, go here.
