Happy Thanksgiving! + Black Friday Sale Coming!

24 November 2016
Oakland, CA

Dear Friend,

First off, Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends, and Happy end of November to everyone!

Ezra and I will be celebrating Thanksgiving with my sister's family in Berkeley later today. I'm making a kale-leek-onion dish.

I look forward to running around with my three-year-old nephew, Mateo, who my sister tells me is obsessed with Santa, and who also loves to take his tricycle out. I also look forward to chatting about making movies with my twelve-year-old nephew, Koceyla, who prefers to be behind the camera.

Here is Mateo playing in a box. But it's actually a rocket. You remember those days, right?, when a box was a rocket! Click to see the Instagram image. (You don't need an Instagram account to view it.)

I am grateful for all of you! Thank you for being in my life and doing your creative work. The world needs your stories!

On that note, on to business!

Coming "Black Friday" Sale!

I'll be running a Half-Off Sale on my One-on-One Consultations for "Black Friday" and through the end of November.

And all my home study / self-paced courses at Barany School of Fiction will be 50% off. I've never done this before! So keep an eye for that!

Ezra and I care that novelists have all the tools they need to succeed, and so we've built out the courses for the school.

That starts with novel planning and goes all the way to how to self publish, and includes several marketing courses, including the popular Branding and Marketing for Novelists.

Watch your inbox for the sale offer on Friday, November 25th!
