Fun fact - I watch a lot of TV.
This week I binged 2 series to completion (Obliterated and The Gentleman) and am on a third that I'm re-watching for the fourth or fifth time (Eureka).
And now that I'm making a movie, I'm so impressed with the actors' performances and every single thing that goes into putting a story on screen.
There are so many details, so many behind-the-scenes decisions. Challenging and hugely overwhelming at times.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
My heart is big with what we're doing and I love that I'm collaborating on everything.
I don't want to be a solo creative anymore. And in fact, I've realized that I've actually never been alone in this business, even though it's felt that way so often.
In fact, I've always had networking buddies, cohorts, fellow writers, supportive fans and readers, and clients and students, people curious about connecting and working with me. And always family that supported me emotionally.
We humans are social creatures. We literally need each other.
My big shift has been to open open my heart and realize just how much love makes the world go round.
How are you able to bring in the support that is maybe already there for you?
When the heart opens
We feel the beauty and the heartbreak
And we're alive
