Say Good-Bye to What's Finished

May 31, 2016
Oakland, California
Sunny, 71 degrees F.

Hi Friend,

It's the last day of the month -- an arbitrary ending at the beginning of a new work week.

Yet, it's a good moment to pause for 30 seconds or a minute (or more) and ask: What have I accomplished? What did I do that I feel good about in May?

Today is as good a day to ask these questions as any.

In preparation for June, also ask: What can I let go of to start what's next or what's truly priority? What can I take off the calendar to leave room for June's priorities?

One of my coaches said to me that you can see what's really a priority by what's on your calendar and by what's happening in your bank account.

A favorite cleaning habit -- I have a few -- is wiping down the kitchen counters. I do this almost daily as a form of therapy. Then today I found myself sweeping the plum pits and skins off the patio. I'm clearing stuff in my inner landscape to make space for the final edits for my novel.

Your turn: What can you let go of -- and say Good-Bye to -- and what can you make space for?

Hit reply and let me know your thoughts.

Or you can share on Facebook or tag me on Instagram or Twitter.
