Writing was so frustrating oftentimes until I learned to relax into my natural flow, follow my interests, and come to the page with openness and curiosity.
Success, i.e., getting a book I was happy about completed and edited to my satisfaction, finally came when I found my playful spirit in the process.
The writing process can be playful, joyful even, and yes, hard, all at the same time.
That's my take.
