|
|
September 20, 2019
Oakland, CA
|
| | As you read this, Ezra and I are barreling down the highway from the San Francisco Bay Area to Long Beach, in the Los Angeles area.
And today is his birthday and he's turning 50!
Help me celebrate is birthday! Here's his birthday wish!
Also posted on Facebook here:
"Coming soon, new crime-fighting TV show, 'Barany 5-0.'
I'm turning 50 years old this Friday and to celebrate, Beth Barany and I will be driving to a Long Beach event "Men of Mystery," an event where mystery authors present their newest book.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to call your local library and request they get my thriller:
Title: Bullets Aren't Kosher Author: Ezra Barany ISBN #: 978-1944841232
Find your local library's contact info here: https://www.worldcat.org/libraries
That's how to participate in 'Barany 5-0.'
When your fellow officer says they caught the criminal, you can say, 'Book 'em.' "

| A Flexible Roadmap to Write Your Novel
Is it your passion to write a novel but don’t know where to begin?
Writing a novel is a huge scary endeavor — yet hundreds and thousands and millions of people have done it.
Do you wish there was a roadmap that could tell you how to get from here to there, but still had room for side trips?
Yes, a flexible roadmap -- the bendy kind!
There are many ways to get to The End, but you only need to find one route that works for you.
But how do you know what is the best way to write a novel -- for you?
Why, you experiment and play, test and noodle around. Writers, most of us anyway, don’t just jump into writing a novel — boom — like jumping into the deep end of the pool.
Writers wade in. They first prepare, plan, or prep -- a very important stage.
You too can plan your novel before you write it. That's like studying the map and planning your route before you drive cross-country.
You don't have to go it alone, though.
You can get help from experienced teachers and writers.
Come this way!
Enter the Big Tent of planning and writing your novel with us!
We will help you plan and write your novel with clarity, confidence, and that kind of excitement-slash-trepidation that comes with starting something new.
Join us for our course that starts Oct. 1st.
Link: https://school.bethbarany.com/p/plan-your-novel-30-day-challenge-oct-2019
Essentially, we walk you through planning your novel in October and guide you through the writing in November.
This course is for you if you want to write: — a spy novel — a romance — a mystery, thriller, or suspense — a historical novel — a science fiction, fantasy, or a mash-up of several genres
This course is for you, if you're an experienced writer or ambitious writer who wants to plan your novel in an organic or step-by-step way, or you're a beginner and are ready to start the adventure of writing a novel.
This class is good for you if:
-- You have never written a novel, and have always wanted to, and still feel lost on how to go from brilliant idea to The End. You'll be stretched in new and different ways. -- You're an experienced novelist, with 1 or 2 completed or partially completed novels under your bed. You may find this course structured in a way that's new to you and yet familiar.
-- You have 3 or more unfinished novels sitting in a drawer, and always hit that sagging middle and lose focus or lose interest. This course will help you dream up exciting ways to torture, I mean challenge, your characters all the way to the resolution of the story.
We start Oct. 1st. And have 5 places left!
