Connect with Creativity

Hello, My Creatives,

The only thing I find consistent -- is change . . .

And this year I have welcomed change with a fervor fever!

This email is for you if you are curious for more ways that can connect YOU with creativity.

These are my Three (3) favorite creative activities:

ART: I’ve always been artistic.  I discovered my enjoyment of creativity through the crafts of crocheting, pottery, and jewelry.  I learned to draw and paint while a teenager. I even kept a few childhood paintings to remind myself how much I improved over the years.  YES, it took years to learn the skill of art.  I’m still discovering, learning – and changing.

MUSIC: My music training that began when I was nine, took 2 decades to be comfortable enough to perform on stage with confidence. I was an introvert playing an independent extravert sounding instrument: oboe.  When I embraced my creative ear and begin to improvise – that’s when the joy and confidence as a musician, emerged.

BAKING: By my late 40’s, baking was added to the mix of skills to learn.  I soon discovered a proclivity for baking.  Baking became my new ‘canvas’ – a ‘manuscript’ that combined the aptitude of art and mathematics of music.

Five (5) reasons I choose Three (3)

1. CREATIVE
Art, Music and Baking are forms of creativity. I enjoy and work with all three. It doesn't have to be sophisticated, refined, or magnificent. Simply creating something from scratch is a form of creativity.  I always add my personal interpretation to everything I observe.
Do you consider yourself creative?

2. EXPRESSIVE

I express myself in what I create, bake, or perform.  We all need to express ourselves.  Gallery shows, concerts, developing recipes are what make me happy. How do you like to express yourself?

3. COMMUNICATE
People know that I care when I share my art/music/baking.   I also offer training in each area of expertise to help others become more confident with creativity and improve their skills.  Do you enjoy sharing your creative skill?

4. CONNECT
Though we may work in solitude in our craft, there is a huge community of like-minded creatives who share the same enjoyment.  Our world still struggles with an ongoing disconnect. Creativity is a wonderful way to connect and bring us together as we stimulate and magnify a positive mindset.  Are you interested in self-care?

5. INSPIRE

Over the years, I inspired 1000s of art/music students.  Students learned in a playground of possibility to develop and grow in gratitude and a deep sense of accomplishment.  Through our challenges, we experience tremendous satisfaction from the pursuit of creativity.  Are you ready for inspiration?
