Subject: How To Score A Podcast Author Interview

Dear Friend,
Hope you had a wonderful Easter and a much needed break! As promised, these emails are going to be short, sweet and to the point, so let's get into the top tips for the week!

***How To Score A Podcast Author Interview***

We all know how important it is to build up reviews for our e-books as quickly as possible, in this constantly changing environment it is the one thing that is guaranteed to increase sales (provided you've written a good book!). Other authors swear by guest posting or interviews. I'm one of the old-school authors that firmly believes the best way to sell a book is still face-to-face. Your words and your message take on a different dimension when people can hear your voice or see your face.

Not only should you be trying to get reviews but actual voice interviews. There aren't that many show hosts out there that will cover indie authors, but I wanted to let my newsletter subscribers know there is definitely one out there who wants to hear about your books, and that is The Book Cast Podcast run by 20 year radio veteran Bill Thompson. Bill runs short, ten minute author interviews for his podcast, and because of their length people actually bother to listen to them!

If you want to get a feel for how these interviews run then check out the one I did with him a couple of weeks ago. The Book Cast website will tell you exactly what you need to do to submit your own books for an interview!

***Storytelling In The Digital Age With Kobo's Mark Leslie ***

While Amazon may be big game it is not the only large player in the e-book world. In my latest podcast with Kobo's Self-publishing Director Mark Leslie, we talk about how authors can take advantage of Kobo's new features, how authors can sell their e-books at physical events, Mark's most successful experiments for his own self-published fiction and the consequences of increasing the price of your book plus so much more.

***Big News***

It seems Amazon is going to buy reader giant Goodreads. Check out the blog post here:

On a more personal note I hope your writing is going well! I just started the second novel in my Facebook series, moving along at a steady 1000 words a day, one of my 2013 goals.

Happy Writing,
