Although I truly love having you, I only want to send you emails if you're enjoying them and they're helping you.  Now, on to the good stuff...
Hey there, Friend!  Can you believe that we’re half-way through the year already?  I’m amazed by how fast this year has gone.

For some reason, I figured that working from home would slow things down for me (as opposed to going to the office every day).  But boy was I wrong.  I feel like this year is going at warp speed.

Since this week is a big holiday here in the US, I don't have any new content for you.  But I do have a BIG thank you (and some reminders on what to do if things aren't going as well as you'd planned for the year).

First up: thank you.  I so appreciate you and hope that you get a lot out of my newsletter and articles.  I hope that this week is fun for you - and also SAFE.

And now for some reminders...

Since we’re now into July, it’s time for a mid-year check in on your goals.  Which means getting really honest about where you are (and why).  And even getting uncomfortable - because you may be trying to ignore your [lack of] progress.

I want you to ask yourself the following questions and take stock of where you are (and consider what can be learned):
  • What changes did you want to make to your life this year – and how far along are you?
  • Where are you on your path to achieving your big goals for the year (as opposed to where you wanted to be)?
  • Why are you where you are right now and what can be learned from the past 6 months?
For more help on how to take stock of where you are, take what you learn and transform it into positive action, and get back on track, read 7 Steps to Achieving Your Goals More Productively This article is for EVERYONE who has goals (not just those who feel that they're off track) and includes a process that I use every 90 days to help me more easily achieve my goals.

Taking stock of where you are mid-year isn't always easy (and can even bring on a sense of dread).  Because many of us get off-track or hit some roadblocks and barriers along the way to achieving our goals.  But it's normal (and okay).  It's even okay to feel bad about that.

What's not okay is to marinate in that feeling.  So, it's time to push past that feeling and get moving again. Because it's not too late.

If you’re not as far as you’d like or feel that you got off track, I want you to get REALLY honest with yourself and ask whether you're stuck in fear.  Fear of change. Fear of failure. Fear of what others will think.  Even fear of success (yes, this is more common that you might believe).

If your mind keeps craving change, yet you’re not doing anything about it, then I’m willing to bet that FEAR is the big culprit.  And nothing is going to change unless you do something different.

Besides, if you want your fear to go away, the only way to do that is to start moving forward (and beyond it).  Here's the thing: fear grows the longer you let it hang around and refuse to do anything about it.

For help in how to move beyond your fear so that you can make the changes you've been craving, read (or re-read) the following articles:

All it takes is one small step.  And then another.  That’s it.  Your changes can be small.  Plus, you’re in control of them (and you can always pivot as you go).  So, instead of going down a rabbit trail of “what if’s”, take one small step and keep doing that.

Finally, if you find that your biggest roadblock to achieving your goals is because you’re too busy with other obligations (things that don’t further your goals), then read:

It’s time to stop being “busy” on stuff that doesn’t further your goals (and these will help with that).

That’s it for today, folks!  Have a great (and very safe) 4th of July.

XO,
