Subject: What you want vs. what you actually need

What big goals or dreams do you have for yourself - personally or professionally - that you haven't devoted enough time to truly move forward?

This will probably be something that requires quite a bit of work (and time) before it can come into fruition.

Once you identify what this is, ask yourself a question:

What are you prioritizing now that is detrimental to the future you want?

Human beings are hard-wired to always prioritize current needs. Which is fine - unless you mistake comfort for actual needs.

Get honest about your short-term desires.

Are they compatible with the long-term goals you have? Do they hurt your ability to get to where you ultimately want to be?

This exercise will help you be more intentional about how much time you devote to short-term desires versus long-term goals.
