Subject: Want life to get back to normal?

I don't have to tell you that 2020 has been weird, Friend.  It sometimes feels like the world has been turned upside down.

The normal thing to do when life has been disrupted?  To want everything to go back to the way it was.

But unfortunately, that's not possible.  I know because I struggled with this myself, post-cancer.

During my cancer treatment, I kept thinking “I can’t wait until this is over and life goes back to normal.”  Yet normal never came.

And because I'm stubborn, and kept trying to figure out how to get back to my old life, I ended up feeling less and less like myself.  Until finally I relented and decided to do something different.

Lately, I've noticed a lot of talk around getting back to normal post-COVID.  And I'm worried that most people are about to make the same mistake I did.

So, if you've been wanting things to just get back to normal and/or struggling with an underlying unhappiness because that's not possible, go read When You Want To Get Back to Normal But Life Will Never Be The Same.

This article isn't just a story about me, but about you too Friend. It's both:
  • A cautionary tale about what can happen when you try to force yourself back into an old life that no longer exists, and
  • An actionable guide with 3 simple steps to start creating your new normal (#1 might just surprise you!).
And once you're done reading, please share this article on your favorite social media platform.  This is an important topic and I'd like to get the article in front of as many people it can help as possible.

XO,

Heather

P.S.  Although going back to what was normal isn't possible, you can create a new normal that feels good.  Read When You Want to Get Back to Normal But Life Will Never Be The Same to learn how.
