Subject: The #1 Question To Ask Yourself Every Day

It's 7:00pm, and I just got off a client call.

I'm exhausted, but am only half-way through a podcast edit and just received a question from a client via email.

My mind keeps telling me to push through the podcast edit and answer my client's question right now...

Even though I know that I'll produce a much better podcast episode + answer for my client in the morning if I take the rest of the night off.

Because it's what is expected. What everyone else does. What I should do.

Ever find yourself in a similar position, Friend?

It's normal to think you have to do things because of what others do, what's expected and so on.

Your inner voice is pre-wired for this. Because survival once depended on NOT straying from the norm.

But that doesn't mean that the voice is right. Or that you have to follow it.

Whenever my inner voice gets active like this, I challenge it by asking one simple question..."Who says?".

It's what I need to break free from my inner voice and make better decisions.

And it's what I want you to do whenever your voice speaks up like that, too. So that you can STOP pushing through, always putting yourself last and instead:
  • Log off early.
  • Go for a walk.
  • Meditate for 5 minutes.
  • Call a friend.
  • Read a book to your child.
  • Go to your son’s baseball game.
Or whatever else you need to reenergize and give the best to others (because that won't happen if you don't take care of you first).

XO,

Heather
