Subject: Remind me not to fall for this again

Confession. . . I've never been a big social media gal.  But despite that, I started my own Facebook group 2 years ago because it's what the experts recommended.

And I followed all the their advice on how to attract the perfect members and increase engagement.

Unfortunately, it was a huge flop.  After trying for over a year to get it going, I abandoned it, telling myself that my people aren't into social media either.

There's only one problem. . . that's not entirely true.  Although it's true some don't do social media, many are there.

And even though they don't post a lot (like me), they're willing to spend time in a group they find valuable to them (also like me).

The problem wasn't that no one was interested, it's that I was listening to everyone except my members and myself.  The result was an overwhelming amount of information and little consistency.  In short: I confused the heck out of everyone (and burned myself out in the process).

I'm ready for a do-over (as my son Noah likes to say), and am re-launching my Facebook groupThis time, I'll be listening to my members (and readers like you).

You want less (not more) so that things are simple, doable and (of course) powerful.  No fluff.

Here's what to expect in the group moving forward:
  • Each month, we'll focus on one of my 3 Pillars to Inside-Out Success (Rewire, Reconnect and Realign).
  • I'll post a short weekly lesson revolving around that month's theme + be available within the group to help you implement it.
  • We'll have one monthly Live Q&A around the lessons/topic of the month.
Several times per year, we'll go even deeper into one of the topics through an additional challenge or training (similar to the Mindset Mastery Boot Camp).

Lesson learned: be informed but don't take 'expert' advice as gospel. From here on out, I'll be making the group my own based on what members want, what I'm comfortable doing and how I enjoy teaching.

So, where have you been listening to what others think you *should* be doing (that you're ready to let go of), Friend?

XO,

Heather

P.S.  Ever feel like you're not good enough or that your success is mostly a result of your hard work and/or luck (instead of your individual abilities)? Then you might be suffering from Impostor Syndrome.

I'm giving a FREE workshop this Thursday for Ellevate Network on How to Overcome Impostor Syndrome and Enjoy Your Success (and would love for you to join me).
