Subject: Just do it your way

"Am I crazy to want the option extended to me even though I wouldn’t choose to take it?”

A client was in a self-described “funk” because a group of attorneys in her firm are part of an internal clique she’s not part of.

She wanted the option to be included as part of the group. Even though she doesn't want to be considered a part of the group (the members of this group are generally considered to “belong” to a specific rainmaker partner - something my client does not want).

How about you, Friend?

Do you ever want the option of being asked or included (to something you'd say "no" to)?

How often do you allow someone’s negative opinion of you to derail your day (even though you feel similarly about them)?

It's NOT crazy to feel this way.

We humans crave belonging and inclusion. We want to be liked.

Which is why we so often do things we don’t want to do, say yes when we really want to say no and so on.

All so that others will like us, and won’t judge us harshly.

The only problem? It can convince you to live a life you don't want.

The best way to real happiness and fulfillment is to go your own way.

I know... Easier said than done.

Which is why I'm talking about HOW to do it on this week's Life & Law Podcast. Listen to Just Do It Your Way >>> here.

XO,

Heather
