Embarrassed, I asked myself "Who do you think you are, Heather?"
Let me back up to explain...
I've always valued service. And pre-cancer Heather defined it as serving my clients and family to the best of my abilities.
But post-cancer that changed into something bigger. I wanted to inspire others to live life fully, not have big regrets and own who they are.
I shied away from this for several years thinking... Who was I to think I could make that type of an impact? Was I being egotistical?
But the fact remains: inspiring others IS one of my top values. And so I finally owned it.
Am I alone in wanting to be more influential, Friend?
I don't think so (and truly hope not). Which is why I'm talking about how to become a bigger influence at work on the podcast this week.
You spend most of your waking hours working. Why not become more influential and make a bigger, bolder impact there?
XO,
Heather
