Although I truly love having you, I only want to send you emails if you're enjoying them and they're helping you.  Now, on to the good stuff...
You are not your past and you don't have let your past experiences bring you down.  But even when you choose to "let go" of your past, it does continue to influence who you are.  The thing is: you get to choose how.

You can re-create the story you tell yourself based on your past experiences, regardless of how difficult, messy, or even embarrassing they are.

How do I know?  Because I've done it.  And I know that you're just as smart and capable as I am (probably more so).

My childhood was not fun.  In fact, it was pretty much a wreck. I was embarrassed and ashamed of much of what went on in my life.  So I escaped by pretending it didn't exist and ignoring it.

But escaping it didn't work, because it left me a bit of a mess later on.  I needed to deal with it and the emotions that came with my childhood experiences.

So, how did I let go and move on?

Read all about How I Found Happiness By Revisiting the Past I Worked So Hard to Escape here This is a very personal story which was hard to write.  But I'm so glad I did.

I ask that you take the few minutes it takes to read my story.  It WILL teach you something about choice and control.  It might even be exactly what you need to hear in this moment.

And once you've read the article, please share it with your family and friends.  Note that this was published at Tiny Buddha (not my blog), so follow the link above to read it.

All my best,
