I don’t like being on video (it feels SO awkward). And I can’t stand hearing myself speak. Nor do I enjoy looking at pictures of myself.
And yet I: Hold video workshops and trainings. Hear my voice all the time (while editing my podcast). Post photos of myself on social media.
I’d love to tell you that doing these things has cured me of all of the above.
It hasn’t.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s gotten a little easier to do all of the above. But it’s still uncomfortable (and likely always will be).
Yet I do these things anyway because I need to. For my business. For myself. And (most importantly) for those I’m here to help.
And I’ve gotten more comfortable with the discomfort I feel each time I do these things by reminding myself why I do them.
What about you, Friend?
What could you be doing that you're not (or aren't doing enough of) because its uncomfortable?
You know there’s something.
Do it anyway.
You'll be better for it (and in all likelihood, so will others).
XO, Heather
P.S. Have you filled out my quick survey where you get to tell me what you want more (and less) of from me? You'll even have a chance to win a coaching hour with me.
Go here to get your voice heard now.
