Subject: Connecting as you speak

Confused. And a bit dismayed.

That's how I felt when a parent asked our school how to reduce the amount of speaking it required of our 4th - 6th grade children because his son hated speaking in public.

In all fairness to him, it's not uncommon to hate speaking. Or to want to avoid it.

[And thankfully, the school handled it well. He walked away knowing it would help his son become a more confident speaker.]

The truth is that speaking is an important skill.

One you'll want to master, Friend. Even if you don't do paid speaking gigs (like I do).

Which is why I brought Marsha Redmon onto the Life & Law Podcast this week. She's an expert at helping executives and attorneys communicate powerfully when presenting.
